Not a conscious decision but it would be limiting to only watch American/British films.

In foreign cultures there are a wide variety of social and political views. It is interesting to see these unfamiliar views portrayed through a plot and characters.

The story provides a simple, fragmented narrative with deeper ideas and morals present.

The main character becomes annoying in places but overall provides a great climax packed with an understated support cast.
